Three travel mediums to avoid during advanced stages of pregnancy

Modes Of Transport To Avoid During Pregnancy

Pregnant women cannot afford to neglect safety measures. Once you are pregnant, plan your daily travel well. This is more so during the third trimester. During the first two trimesters it is more or less fine to take most modes of transport. But the third trimester makes it difficult for a would-be mom to choose a mode of transport.

The best mode of transport for you is to travel by car. If you do not have a car, try using less crowded modes of public transport. Here are the modes of transport that should be avoided during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester.

Public Bus

We see that many pregnant women travel by bus during their early stages of pregnancy. No matter where you are located in the world it is best to avoid taking the bus in the later stage of pregnancy. Public buses are generally famous for their rashness and recklessness. Sudden jerks can make you highly uncomfortable and are not exactly good for your baby.

Another factor while travelling in a bus is the crowd. If the bus is too crowded then there is a chance of getting injured. Hence it is best to avoid travelling in public buses, more so at peak hours.

Many people believe that travelling by airplanes during the third trimester can cause miscarriage. This is both true and false. The health of the mother is very important in this case. If the mother has diabetes or any other health issues, the foetus might be put under risk. Although women having no complications might be allowed to fly, avoid flying as far as possible.

Also, remember to consult your gynaecologist before you plan a trip. Have a safe one.
